Moderated by Co-Thread Leaders George Donovan and Pastor Colleen Hetrick\, this will be a time of openness\, learning and reflecting.  \n  \nParticipants may submit questions now through April 22. Questions can be about an LGBTQIA+ experience\, faith as an LGBTQIA+ person\, or a related topic. The moderators will recruit panel members and find trusted resources to answer as many of the questions submitted as possible. While not required to include your name with the questions\, participants may choose to include their email in case the moderators have any clarifying questions.  \n  \nEach of the evenings will include prayer\, moderated panel question and answer\, and small group processing time. \n  \nRegistration for the event will close on April 30. DESCRIPTION:7th Day is our annual overnight faith sharing event for youth in 5th and 6th grades and their adult advisors.  In 2025\, 7th Day will take place from noon Saturday\, March 1st to 1:30 Sunday\, March 2nd at Eagle Eyrie Conference Center. \nDuring the weekend\, each youth participant is part of a “Shepherd Group” with 5-6 other youth and adult leaders. Along with other Shepherd Groups\, participants will explore a story of the Bible through drama\, games\, crafts\, and music. Then everyone is together in a large group setting for singing\, worship\, and a presentation from our 7th Day Planning Group youth! The book strikes a balance between defeatism and overconfidence\, written about by folks who genuinely want us to better know what we are talking about when we talk about climate change. This study will deepen participants’ understanding of climate change.  \nClimate is an issue that touches everything. Its study involves history\, culture\, economics\, law and justice issues\, race and gender politics\, and so many branches of science. There are so many facets to look at\, from the state of the climate movement\, the shift to renewable energy\, and the policy issues being decided at every level of government. This book touches on many of the topics in timely fashion with information that we need now\, especially heading into the voting booths this November. \nJoin us in reading the material and come with questions of your own!  The discussion sessions will be recorded\, but will not be immediately ready for review the next week. This is for parents\, guardians\, rostered ministers\, youth leaders\, grandparents\, and anyone who wants to learn how to better love and care for the LGBTQIA+ teens in their lives. \nThe study will be facilitated by George Donovan\, Tapestry Co-chair\, and Pastor Colleen Montgomery\, All Places Together & Director for Digital Ministries – Virginia Synod\, along with other voices from the LGBTQIA+ community as well.
