October 10 – 1:30pm ET – Zoom
Historic church records in Virginia document not only the history of individual congregations, but also the history of the communities those congregations are a part of. This program will discuss the importance of preserving and providing access to records and partnership opportunities that can help a congregation meet this important need. It features Zach Hottel, Archivist at the Shenandoah County Library System and head of Virginia’s Archives Caucus, who will share real life examples of working with churches to better protect and share their historic records.
