Obstacles in Women’s Healthcare and Health Education:
How the Church Can Advocate for Women
E-Learning – November
Zoom Discussion – December 9, 7pm
Healthcare and health education have come a long way, however it still has a long way to go in regards to women, persons of color, and the LGBTQIA+ community. The Justice for Women Tapestry Thread invites you to learn with them about the obstacles that women still face in healthcare and education about their own bodies, where there is hope for change, and how communities of faith can help advocate.
During the month of November and early December, receive emails with interviews with healthcare professionals and educators as well as with women who have experienced trouble in receiving the care they need. You can read and learn at your own pace. Devotions and reflection questions will also be included.
On December 9 at 7pm, gather with other learners on Zoom to reflect together about what has been learned.
This event is organized by Pastor Kayla Keilholtz and Sylvia Eley, Justice for Women Tapestry Thread Co-Leaders.
