Writing an Effective Resolution or Memorial

Memorials and resolutions are one way that this church addresses broad policy issues or important issues for God’s mission in the world. Memorials address broad policy issues; resolutions have a narrower focus, requesting consideration or action by specific offices, committees, or groups within the Synod.
Thinking about submitting a resolution or memorial to the 2024 Virginia Synod Assembly? You are invited to learn more about how to write an effective memorial or resolution and what specific format to use for those.
This meeting will be recorded and shared. Any Virginia Lutheran, rostered or lay, voting member or not, is welcome to attend this meeting.
