Writing an Effective Resolution or Memorial Pre-Assembly Meeting
January 29 – 7pm – Zoom
Memorials and resolutions are one way this church addresses broad policy issues or important issues related to God’s mission in the world. Memorials address broad policy issues, while resolutions have a narrower focus, requesting consideration or action by specific offices, committees, or groups within the Synod.
Are you thinking about submitting a resolution or memorial to the 2025 Virginia Synod Assembly? You are invited to learn more about how to write an effective memorial or resolution and what specific format to use to achieve your desired results on Wednesday, January 29, at 7pm on Zoom.
This meeting will be recorded and shared. Any Virginia Lutheran, rostered or lay, voting member or not, is welcome to attend this meeting.
You do not need to register for this meeting. The link to join is below.
This meeting will be recorded and shared in The Weekly Update and in Synod Assembly Communications.
The 2025 Virginia Synod Assembly will be held on-site at Roanoke College June 13-15. More information will be available in the coming weeks. The invitation to this pre-assembly meeting is coming out first because of the submission requirements for resolutions and memorials.
