All Retired Rostered Ministers and their Spouses are invited to gather for a luncheon and conversation at one of the Conference Partnership Gatherings around the Synod. Lunch will be provided for all. Rostered Ministers and Spouses who will attend need to make a reservation using one of the registration links below.
Bishop Bob Humphrey and Assistants to the Bishop Pastor Kelly Bayer Derrick and Pastor John Wertz Jr. will be present for a time of conversation and celebration. We look forward to honoring your ministry and sharing in conversation with you about the vision for the Virginia Synod.
Gatherings are planned in each of the Synod’s five conference partnerships.
- Coastal Partnership (Peninsulas and Tidewater) will gather on Monday, August 9 at 11 AM at St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Hampton. Registration closes on Monday, August 2.
- Blue Ridge Partnership (Southern Valley and Southern) will gather on Thursday, September 9 at 11 AM at St. Philip Lutheran Church in Roanoke. Registration closes on Wednesday, September 1.
- Appalachia Partnership (Highlands and New River) will gather on Monday, September 20 at 11 AM at Moon Dog Brick Oven in Wytheville. Registration closes on Wednesday, September 15.
- Valley Partnership (Northern Valley, Central Valley, and Page) will gather on Monday, October 18 at 11 AM at Bethel Evangelical Lutheran Church 2077 North Frederick Pike, Winchester 22603. Registration closes on Monday, October 11.
- Piedmont Partnership (Germanna and Richmond) will gather on Monday, November 1 at 11 AM at Christ the King 9800 W Huguenot Rd. Richmond VA 23235. Registration closes on Monday, October 25.
