Today, we learned that one of the members of our Virginia Synod staff tested positive for COVID-19.  Thankfully, the individual is experiencing mild symptoms. We invite you to join us in praying for healing and a return to health.
Since March, the Synod Office in Salem has operated on a limited schedule with staff members working remotely. The Synod Office has also kept a record of everyone who has visited the office. With the help of these records, we have been able to quickly complete contact tracing and have notified anyone who might have been exposed.
Based on guidance from the CDC and our office policies, all staff will work remotely beginning today and staff members who were exposed will be quarantining.  The Salem Office is temporarily closed and will be deep cleaned. We anticipate staff returning to the Salem Office on a limited schedule beginning on Monday, November 9.  Once staff has returned to the office, we will work as quickly as possible to catch up on any correspondences and projects that cannot be done remotely.
If you need assistance from a member of the Synod Staff, please contact the individual directly by email.  You can find staff email addresses at: www.vasynod.org/about/staff
