Hungry for the Word: Resources for Journeying Together through the Sundays after Pentecost
In a world that is yearning for hope and hungry for God’s word, invite your congregation to journey with you through the Sundays after Pentecost using the following resources to help you and your congregation dive deeper into the revised common lectionary texts between Sunday, May 31st and Reformation Sunday, October 25th. The resources are broken down into four series built around a theme.
In addition to the lectionary series, there are four additional series focused on creation, Solomon, Elijah, and Joseph which are inspired by texts and themes that appear in this summer’s lectionary readings.
These series are meant to be a resource for you. You can use them in any combination or you can pull resources to enhance your current plans for this season of the church year.
Each series has:
- An overall theme,
- Prompts for exploring the text during the sermon time, and
- Resources for engaging God, one another, and the community.
You can access the file with all the resources at: Hungry for the Word: Journeying Together through the Sundays after Pentecost
Please Note: Additional resources will be added as they are available.
