GraceInside is recruiting candidates to serve as prison chaplains in multiple locations throughout Virginia. Chaplains serve as Christian pastors and coordinators for religious services and programs for inmates of all faiths. Ordination/credentials required; M.Div or equivalent preferred. Learn more at GraceInside.org. We are a Christian non-profit providing contract-based chaplain services in all VADOC facilities. Most chaplain positions are part-time but can be combined with multiple assignments. The pay rate begins at $31.00 per hour. Interested candidates may contact Rev. The Chaplain works with the Lead Chaplain to evaluate, plan, and maintain the daily, weekly, and Special religious and spiritual programming for SVWC residents and families. The Chaplain helps to organize, coordinate and/or conduct religious services. In addition, the Chaplain assists in providing bereavement, religious and spiritual support as needed by residents, families, and staff. The Chaplain will also be available to provide pastoral support to employees who may need direction to resources such as the Employee Assistance Program, Human Resources, the Employee Emergency Fund, and/or the employee’s personal clergy.

The Director of Communications, Outreach, and Guest Services will oversee all aspects of communications, outreach, guest services, and administration of resource development. This is a full-time salary position requiring 40 hours a week. The level of work varies by season, with retreats and summer camp necessitating working on site. Sunnyside Communities, Harrisonburg is looking for an Associate Chaplain to collaborate with the Lead Chaplain in delivering compassionate pastoral care, worship services, and spiritual and emotional support to residents, their families, and employees. This role primarily focuses on pastoral care, visitation, and advance care planning for residents in Health Care and Assisted Living. Works closely with the life enrichment and clinical teams. The Associate Chaplain also maintains relationships with local congregations and helps residents stay connected to their faith communities as needed.
